It is my first post and English is not my first language so sorry for my mistakes =) ...
I'm from Brazil and I came to LA, California in December 2007. I love here . I work as a delivery driver in restaurants in Culver City, Marina Del Rey, Venice and Santa Monica. So I thought that it could be one nice way to show the foods of the places that I work or some friend or just someone know. Here I'd like that people tell about good places to eat here in LA or any place in California so everybody cans know about new places to eat well when they are in that places (Venice, Santa Monica , etc..)
When i was coming, everybody told me that American people are fat and they don't care about their body and health. Who told me that is a liar hahaha. People here eat well and healthy food. Yeah in US has a lot of fast food places but here has a lot of nice places to eat wonderfull and/or healthy food. Sometimes the food is not too healthy but it is really good =P.
In my blogger I will talk about food from places that I eat or I ate or someone told me about and I will eat =P ...
But in this my first post I will put one authentic brazilian plate, it is a P.F. that means "Prato Feito" is like a made plate really common in Brazil and I didn't see here in LA. SOrry but I love brazilian food and in my first post I had to talk about it =).
In the plate we have beans, rice, salad, one kind of meat, french fries and farofa (it is like flour toasted with butter, i can tell you that it is really good and very tradicional in Brazilian BBQ).
For now that is it. But my next posts I will talk about food from places I ate... like Gaby's, 26 beach, China Beach, Pampas Grill, Cafe Buna (those places are in Marina Del Rey, Venice and Culver City) and ETC....
See ya

Wow dude, PF's are nice, although those who eat'em everyday may not think that!
ResponderExcluirBrazilian food is very good, but american food is far from bad, when i got there i thought that I would spend 4 months without eating beans, and for my surprise there were more kinds of beans than here in Brazil!
another good point is the great variety of frozen food, and the quality of them. As I didn't have money to keep eating in fancy places everyday, Chicken pot pies, toaster waffles, microwaveable-dinners ruled my refrigerator!
